About this Project

PLEASE NOTE: This website is currently in beta development. See the about page for details. You can ask questions and post feedback on this Youtube thread.

Space Dave's Universe Monitor is a tool for viewing live space-related images and data. Choose from various live feeds such as video streams, webcams, satellite imagery, data visualizations and text-based reports. Feeds can be viewed on any sized screen from mobile to theater.

It's all web-based and accessible from your browser. No registration or login is required.

Use this system for your own enjoyment and education, or use it in your museum, school, live-streaming show, or any application you can think of.

Please remember that this website is currently just a "proof of concept". If this project continues in development, the long-term plan would be to add features such as:

  • User settings and customization.
  • "Museum mode" for easily creating displays in science museums, etc.
  • Widgets for your website.
  • Opt-in alerts for space weather, satellite passes, rocket launches, etc.
  • User community.
