Source: n2yo.com
The WISE Space Telescope was launched in 2009 with a mission to scan the entire sky twice in infrared light. It finished this mission in 2011, having imaged three-quarters of a billion objects, including galaxies, stars and asteroids. In 2013, NASA reactivated the telescope with a new mission to scan for near-Earth objects (NEOs). The mission was renamed NEOWISE.
